📑 We start by fabricating and collecting a range of phantoms—synthetic matrices of wastewater, urine, and wood—designed to mimic key physico-chemical and structural properties of their real-world counterparts.

Each phantom is then rigorously verified through techniques such as Raman spectroscopy, refractive-index measurements, and direct comparison with authentic sample data to ensure fidelity.

Finally, we probe these phantoms for target biomarkers by spiking with known analyte concentrations (e.g., proteins, antibodies, environmental contaminants) and applying fiber-optic (or other optical) measurement methods to evaluate detection limits and model performance across diverse matrices.
